2008 has officially started and if these past few weeks are any indication...it's going to be a fabulous new year!! I ended 2007 with a party with my Studio 2-B Girl Scout troupe, the girls have alot of ideas and plans for new year. I started January off with a trip to Kansas City for preparations for the Miss Nebraska Pageant. In between appointments my Dad and I strolled along the Plaza, did a little shopping and stuffed ourself with sushi! Needless to say, it was a quick but productive road trip.

Miss South East, Michelle Alvarado, and Miss Omaha, Alexis Geist, and myself attended Miss Nebraska's send off party of January 12th. Ashley was absolutely radiant and she debuted her talent and wardrobe for Miss America. I can honestly say that she is going to rock the stage in Las Vegas...Nebraska is very fortunate to have such a talented and poised representative.

The send off was just a preview of what the next few weeks will bring. I will be traveling to Las Vegas with other Nebraska titleholders to support Ashley at Miss America!!! I'll continue to update this page as the month progresses*
