Ø    I have worked as an intern and production assistant with Channel 8 KLKN News Station - Lincoln,as a member of the Husker Vision student production team and intern for KNOP news station in North Platte, Nebraska. I was also a radio announcer for KRNU 90.3 student radio station.

Ø    My favorite leadership role is as a Studio 2 B Youth Advisor for a Girl Scout Troop. I meet with the a group of 30 middle school girls weekly where we work on activities that center on leadership, positive choices, growth and development and just plain growing up. 

Ø    I am involved in campus activities where I am a member and Director of Alumnae Relations for Alpha Phi Fraternity, Student Alumnae Association, Dance Marathon for Children’s Miracle Network, the UNL Dance Department, Chancellors Leadership Class, Nebraska Press Women and Star City News.

Ø    Scholastics are very important to me and  honors include three years on the Dean's List, member of the University Society of Collegiate Scholars, Outstanding Journalism Student, Neola Skala and Kinman Oldfield Journalism Scholarship and Alpha Phi Scholar.
